Mission of Samarthanam hence is to provide and equip visually, physically and economically challenged individuals with education, technology and knowledge as well as develop a conducive environment to nurture and enhance their talents in sports and cultural activities so as to mould them into confident human beings.

Samarthanam is a vision born out of the difficulties faced by the three founder trustees while they were students in Bangalore . Instead of giving up in despair and frustration, they decided to fight the difficulties on behalf of the future generations of visually challenged. The vision of the organization is to make the visually, physically and economically challenged youngsters independent and self-reliant through education, knowledge and training. It is desired to give anyone with a will, to fight out the age old notions about visual impairment, a chance to come out and prove to the world that they could achieve anything once they are given an opportunity to do so.
